| Prayer for Baptismal Graces |
| Lord Jesus, let me begin anew today in the grace of my baptism. I wish to be the new creature you created me to be. Configure me to your image. Lord God, give me the grace of the virtues of faith, hope and love that you promised at baptism and that only you can give. I believe in you; help my unbelief. I hope in you; help my lack of trust. I love you; give me a greater share in your love. Give me wisdom to see with your sight, which reveals your presence everywhere. Give me understanding, the holy insight that is amazed by your great love. Give me knowledge, by hearing your word and receiving you at Mass. Give me fortitude, filling my heart with confidence in your heart. Give me fear of the Lord, as I bend my knees at your name. Give me piety, as I fold my hands with your mother, consoled that you are near. Adopt me through the power of the Holy Spirit who prays in me and makes me a partaker in your life. I renounce sin and self-seeking and every power that is opposed to you. Let every part of my body, every part of my spirit, and every part of my life be conformed to you. Thank you for marking me with an indelible seal that says, today and forever, “This one is mine. And no one takes what is mine.” |
